This was the fourth year the LA Times Festival of Books was held at USC, and the Events Planning team prepared for the weekend for months beforehand. Working with other FMS teams, such as Custodial and Landscape & Grounds, the Events Planning team focused on assuring there was appropriate space and access for organizers of the festival to finalize set up. Ultimately, they helped faciliate a smooth and successful event while ensuring the university was kept beautiful and in tact for next month's Commencement.

Below are a few pictures of the planning team in action two weeks before the festival took place:

Barbara Sussoev, Special Events Manager, listens to suggestions about how to best prevent damage to university landscaping during the LA Times Festival of Books.

Betty Davis, Waste Management Manager, Santiago Arredondo, Landscape Supervisor, and Richard Orozco, Zone 3 Coordinator, discuss asset preservation and clean-up during and after the festival.

Eric Warren, Heavy Equipment Supervisor, contemplates the logistics of removing multiple bicycle racks in preparation for LA Times Festival of Books vendors and crews.
